TOPIC FOR REFLECTION

 *HMMM, WHO SHALL BE SAVED?*

Hello, children of God, Can we come together and talk senses into ourselves?

Oftentimes, if I ask some people, are you a Christian? Most responses I do get are; yes, am a staunch catholic, am a born-again Christian, I don't play with Church, and other similar answers.

The question is, those who claim to be Christians, yet commit various degrees of inhuman atrocities, does it mean Christ is two?

Does it mean we have good Christ and bad Christ? Well, there is no such thing as two Christ, but only one good Christ. However, the followers of Christ may differ by nature.

Let's dig into today's first and second readings.

St. Paul in today's first reading said:

1. Brethren, If you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.

1* How many of us in truth do seek the things of heaven?

Most of our prayer intention every day is to make luxury, where our yardstick of a born-again Christian is to have wealth, cars, excess money, build mansions, travel abroad as we like, etc.

Yet, in all of these worldly dreams, we hardly remember the poor people among us. There are some wealthy Christians who can not help the poor around them, what a shame!

2. Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.

2* My dear, on account of this no 2, most of us are guilty if it oooo. Evil desire, immorality, etc. are very common to all of us. We do not even care about Heaven any more.

May God have mercy on us, because if God should mark our guilt, who will survive? Psalm 130

3. Put away anger, wrath, malice, slander, and foul talk from your mouth. Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his practices and have put on the new man, who is being renewed in knowledge after the image of his creator.

3* The majority, if not all of us are guilty of these. We are always angry, we keep malice,  we slander ourselves with ourselves, uncountable foul talks from our mouths, and we lie to one another many times.

I ask again if the Lord should mark our guilt, we can be saved. Psalm 130.

Still, Jesus corroborated the first reading in the Gospel saying:

√1. Blessed are you poor, for yours is the kingdom of God, but woe to you that are rich, for you have received your consolation

√2. Blessed are you that hunger now, for you shall be satisfied, but woe to you that are full now, for you shall hunger.

√3. Blessed are you that weep now, for you shall laugh, but woe to you that laugh now, for you shall mourn and weep.

√4. Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they exclude you and revile you, and cast out your name as evil, on account of the Son of man! Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven; for so their fathers did to the prophets. However, Woe to you, when all men speak well of you, for so their fathers did to the false prophets.

Please, let us not take for granted, the word of God, let's act accordingly.

I ask again, who can be saved?

 *Peace ✌️ be with you.*
