TOPIC FOR REFLECTION

*WHICH SPIRIT DO YOU POSSESS?*

The truth about life is that a person must be possessed by a spirit. There is no human being that can stay without a spirit, just as nobody can stay without the flesh (body).

It is either one is possessed by the Spirit of God, or by the spirit of the devil. The simple reason is that human beings are made of soul and body; the body is the flesh, while the soul is the Spirit. Still, the Spirit in the human being is the Spirit of God.
It is when the Spirit of God is passive in a person that the evil spirit becomes active.
Similarly, anyone who possesses the spirit of God must make it active, and such a person's behaviour would be like God. Anyone who behaves like God is said to be God's ambassador.

So, anyone who is in God possesses the spirit of God, and the spirit becomes active in him or her because the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. More so, it is the spirit of God who knows man's thoughts. So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Now, it is good to know that we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might understand the gifts bestowed on us by God.

So, it is expected that we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit of God, interpreting spiritual truths to those who possess the Spirit.

On the contrary, the unspiritual man does not receive the gifts of the Spirit of God, for the Spirit of God is foolish to him or her, and such a person is not able to understand them because they are spiritually blind.

Some who are spiritually blind made themselves available to be possessed by the evil spirit. Meanwhile, Jesus who is God has power over all spirits, and the evil spirits recognise Him. Hence, Jesus cast out the evil spirit.

My dear, do you know that.....
*** It is easy to lose the Spirit of God if one is not careful.
*** It is difficult to regain the loosed Spirit of God, it demands great effort, self-discipline, determination, self-contentment, and the grace of God.
*** It is easy to possess an evil spirit, especially when one is worldly.
*** It is difficult to dispel the evil spirit in one's life because the devil does not want anyone to be close to God. However, much effort, self-discipline, determination, and the grace of God will dispel it from one's life.

Well, let us try to retain and make active the Spirit of God in each one of us, with this, the evil spirit will not possess anyone.
