TOPIC FOR REFLECTION


 *WHAT TYPE OF CHRISTIAN ARE YOU?* 


Which categories of Christianity do you fall into?


Are you the type of Christian with the idea of do as as say, and not as I do?


Are you a Christian... 

1. Who will drink milk, but will forcefully demand others to drink water?

2. Who will eat meat, but force others to eat bone?

3. Who will compulsory fast for others, but will feast with a sumptuous meal for him/herself?

4. Who will pray in the church, but curse outside?

5. Who is a saint with good character in the church, but more like a devil outside the church?

6. Who appears to be nice to priests, and pastors, but cruel to fellow church members?

7. Who can do everything to pay tithe, but can not give just a penny to save a soul outside church? 

8. Who imposed a heavy load on others, but has no single load to carry?

9. Who dwells and celebrates his/her sins, but still has the gut to condemn others as sinners?

10. Whose ways of life is contrary to Jesus' ways of life 


My dear, please kindly listen to what Jesus said in today's Gospel.


“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you are like whitewashed tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but within they are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. So you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but within you are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you build the tombs of the prophets and adorn the monuments of the righteous, saying, ‘If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’ Thus you witness against yourselves, that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets. Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers.”


My dear,  am sure we have digested the Gospel reading of today. The best and a good Christian is he or she who practises what he or she preaches.


A good Christian is a person whose way of life preaches more than the words from his or her lips.


A good Christian should be bold enough to say "Follow my footsteps. Do as I do".


 *PRAYER* 


Almighty God and Father, grant us the grace to practice what we preach all the days of our lives.

IF JESUS WAS BAD, CAN YOU FOLLOW HIM?

Matthew 22: 15-21 TOPIC FOR REFLECTION  *IF JESUS WAS NOT RESPONSIBLE, WILL YOU FOLLOW HIM?*  Today is mission Sunday, and for anyone to live a fulfilled missionary life, such ought to be a responsible person. No one can survive on a mission land if he lacks good character. I hope you know that Jesus' good character attracted us to follow Him in His mission. Luke 12: 1-7 TOPIC FOR REFLECTION  *TRUST GOD, BUT AVOID HYPOCRISY*  Jesus said, "Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees – that is, their hypocrisy".  It simply means if you know anybody with the under-listed attributes, please in your interest and for the sake of your future, avoid them. If you can't avoid them, learn to manage them. Do not keep such persons as friends, unless you want to ruin your future. So, avoid: 1. The people who are not real, fake by nature. 2.
