TOPIC FOR REFLECTION

HUSBANDS: IMITATE ST. JOSEPH

St. Joseph was a carpenter; the husband of Mary. He accepted the will of God, and he supported Mary and together, they brought up Jesus. He is known as the foster father of Jesus. He is the patron and protector of the Catholic Church: the patron of all workers, and husbands. His role in the Christmas story, as the husband of the Virgin Mary, as well as the foster father of Jesus, made him an outstanding patron saint of the Catholic Church. His blessed death, assisted by the Child Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary, made St. Joseph the patron of a happy death.

Let us learn from this great man, who sacrificed his life for Jesus and Mary; not counting the cost.

He was a carpenter who used the profit from his work to cater to Jesus and Mary. Remember that Jesus was not his biological son, but a foster son; yet, he never complained. He does it with joy and a cheerful heart 💘.

Husbands should learn from his example how to take care of their family 👪 members, and by extension, if it's possible, to help other children they can, without counting the cost.

St Joseph was able to make his family 👪 a peaceful and happy home for Mary and Jesus. So, husbands should try to make their family home, peaceful, happy, and habitable for their wives and children.

It's all these simple things done in extraordinary ways that make one a Saint.

May St. Joseph continues to intercede for our respective families 👪 and our pilgrim Church on earth 🌐.

Peace ✌️ be with you.
