TOPIC FOR REFLECTION

 *USEFUL ADMONITION*

Jesus is the wisdom of God. However, this wisdom of God convicts and exposes the foolish.

Wisdom will never dwell in the hearts of the following people...

1. A deceitful person

2. A person who lives, dwells and promotes sin

3. A person who celebrates evil thoughts

4. A person who slanders his or her family and friends

5. An unrepentant guilty soul without remorse.

6. A foolish person.

Do you know that even if wisdom built His house in the heart of the above categories of persons, their foolish spirit will suppress this wisdom of God?

Therefore, anyone who loves righteousness, if faced with temptation, will strive to overcome it but if in the process he or she falls, will be quick to make reconciliation with God.

Rulers of the earth, leaders at every category inclusive, think of the Lord with uprightness, and seek him with sincerity of heart; because he is found by those who do not put him to the test, and manifests himself to those who do not distrust him.

Jesus admonishes us in today's Gospel as follows...

1. Temptations to sin are sure to come; but woe to him by whom they come! It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were cast into the sea, than that he should cause one of these little ones to sin.

It means we should not promote sin. Those of us who are professors of sin promoters, be careful.

2. Take heed to yourself; if your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him; and if he sins against you seven times in the day, and turns to you seven in the day, and turns to you seven times, and says, ‘I repent, ‘you must forgive him.

It does not give us room to intentionally keep offending people often, Jesus might even punish those who intentionally do wrong without repentance.

Remember, He says, if he REPENTS. This means anyone who repents, as He will forgive, we too should forgive those who repent too. Jesus never says we should force ourselves to forgive an unrepentant sinner, it will be a wasted effort.

3. The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith! “And the Lord said, “If you had faith as a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this sycamore tree, “Be rooted up, and be planted in the sea, ‘and it would obey you.”

All that is needed is FAITH.

Do you agree with these admonitions?
