TOPIC FOR REFLECTION

*TO BE READY IS WISDOM, AND NOT TO BE READY IS FOOLISHNESS.*

Jesus is God, the Wisdom of God. Anyone who seeks Wisdom seeks Jesus who is God.

The first reading presents to us the beautiful relationship of Jesus the Wisdom of God with humanity.

Wisdom is radiant and unfading- Christ.

Wisdom (Christ) can easily be found by those who love her and is found by those who seek her. She hastens to make herself known to those who desire her. He who rises early to seek her will have no difficulty, for he will find her sitting at his gates.

To fix one’s thought on Christ the Wisdom of God is perfect understanding, and he who is vigilant on her account will soon be free from care because she goes about seeking those worthy of her, and she graciously appears to them in their paths, and meets them in every thought.

Therefore, a wise person strives despite all odds to keep the commandments of God, but the foolish do not make any efforts.

No wonder the psalmist says the fool says in his heart, there is no God above. Psalm 14: 1.

Those who make efforts to live a just good moral life should continue, and never become jealous of those who live as if no one will judge them.

St. Paul said in the second reading that Christ the wisdom of God will raise the dead on the last day, and those of us who are still alive will rise with them. This confirms what he told the Romans, whether we are alive or dead, we belong to the Lord. Cf. Rm 14:8

In today's Gospel, the wise virgin kept their lamps burning with extra oil and waited patiently for the coming of the bridegroom, but the foolish were not ready for the bridegroom, and when the bridegroom came, he went away with the wise who were ready, and shut the door against the foolish who were not ready.

The question is, how ready and prepared are we? May all our efforts in serving the Lord never be in vain. Amen

The truth is that those who make a conscious effort to serve God are always ready, while those who never make an effort to serve Him, are never ready.

Therefore, I encourage us to keep making efforts and never give up on doing the right things, never become jealous of the evil ones.

The devil need not make efforts on them, and with that, he allows them to become excessively rich with abundant wealth, while the children of God who make frantic efforts go hungry, so that they can turn to him (satan) for worldly wealth.

Please, it's a trap, don't fall for it. Remember that, God has promised in Psalms 34:10, it says...

"The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing (blessings).

May God help us to become wise and not foolish always.
