TOPIC FOR REFLECTION

*WE ARE CALLED TO BE MISSIONARIES*

All Christians are missionary by nature, especially the baptized. As a baptized, one has become a child of God and a member of the church.

Invariably, baptism automatically makes you a child of God and a member of the church, so it is expected that one should go out to win souls for God.

Therefore, in today's Gospel, Jesus sent out, two by two, seventy of his disciples on a mission. He said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few; pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest.”

This simply means that by nature, every one of us is a missionary by our baptism and that we have to pray and support the missionaries working in remote and difficult terrains.

The mission work is not meant for Bishops, Priests and Deacons alone, it is also for the lay faithful. The qualification for becoming a missionary is to be baptised.

So, Our little acts of mortifications, sacrifices, prayers and penances may be offered with love for the well-being and success of those in the missions. And if any one of us is chosen to be a missionary, let us not hesitate to respond to his call and dedicate our lives to him.

 *Peace ✌️ be with you.*
