TYPES OF SUICIDE, DO NOT LOSE HOPE

TOPICS FOR REFLECTION


 *TO LOSE HOPE IS TO SIN AGAINST THE HOLY SPIRIT.* 


 *TO LOSE HOPE IS TO COMMIT SUICIDE.* 

 *(read the categories of suicide we have)* 


Abraham is our father in faith, and he won this from God and not because of his work, but through the righteousness of faith. 


However, do not join the group of some Christians who would always say "We are justified by faith and not by work". This immediate quote has made many Christians lose the moral sense of living because they believe that good work cannot save but only faith.


St. Paul said: "God's promise to Abraham and his descendants that they should inherit the world, did not come through the law but through the righteousness of faith". Below is what he meant 


The truth is that the test Abraham went through before God made him the father of nations, many of us Christians today may not be able to pass such test.


Imagine a man having his only legitimate child at an advanced old age, and God still told him to sacrifice this same child he gave him, and he never argued with God; my dear, such FAITH and BLIND OBEDIENCE TO GOD made Abraham become Father of all nations.


Remember that Obedience to God sustains Hope, and this can be attained with good works of charity with Faith that the true God whom none has ever seen is rather seen in his fellow man. Read the story of Abraham in the book of Genesis and see the many charitable works he did.


Abrahamic hope in God sustains his Faith, he never loses hope and that is what Jesus corroborated in today's Gospel. 


Remember, while Jesus was about to conclude His mission on earth, He promised to send the Holy Spirit who will be with us and accompany us through life. 

More reason Jesus would emphasise, "Do not be afraid" is because the Holy Spirit will give us the courage needed in life. Invariably, the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Hope that will help our Faith to be sustained in God


Jesus said...

1. Everyone who acknowledges me before men, the Son of man also will acknowledge before the angels of God; but he who denies me before men will be denied before the angels of God. 

***** If we are sure that our Hope sustains our Faith in God, we will neither deny nor be ashamed of proclaiming Jesus before men. Testifying to Jesus before men boosts our love for Him (Jesus).


2. Everyone who speaks a word against the Son of man will be forgiven, but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven. 

***** It is when has lose hope in God that he can speak against the Holy Spirit who is with us to help us sustain our hope in God. The moment we lose hope, satan comes immediately to sow the seed of SUICIDE in our minds. 


Are you aware that there are categories of Suicide? However, due to the want of time, few will be dug here.

1. Mental Suicide: This is a feeling of insanity

2. Spiritual Suicide: To feel spiritual dryness, to feel and think God is absent.

3. Psychological Suicide: To feel abandoned, dejected, rejected, unloved, etc

4. Physical Suicide: To kill oneself.


If you observe that to lose Hope in God will make one lose hope in all things, and from the list above, a person will start to experience among the four categories. So it is not good to lose hope. 


Please, I am aware that things are hard, all of us are suffering the same thing, but I beg you not to lose hope. To lose hope is to deny the presence of God, the Holy Spirit, hence one is embarking on a Suicide mission.


To commit Suicide has no forgiveness. 

Please 🙏, I beg you, don't kill yourself.
