 *ARCHANGELS ARE MESSENGERS OF GOD* 


CONTENTS

1. Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel

Today the Holy Mother Church celebrates the messengers of her creator, God.


The Archangels are Michael, Raphel and Gabriel; each of them played a significant role in the salvation of Humanity.


These noble messengers of God's role in the salvific mission of God had raised humanity from her...

1. Hopelessness to hopefulness

2. Faithlessness to faithfulness

3. Worries to the warrior in battle

4. Fearful nature to fearless nature

5. Falling state to rising state

6. Disconnection to connection with God 

7. Vanquish to victory in battle

8. Barrenness to bearings of children

9. Lowly state to higher state

10. Dejection to determination; etc.


The three Archangels were mentioned in the Bible: 

***Michael, is the protector of the people of God just as it was read in the first reading of today. When war broke out in heaven, it was Archangel Michael who fought satan and his agents and won them by the blood of the lamb (blood of Jesus), and the words of their testimonies against the devil. Cf. today's first reading.


This is the main reason a prayer was composed in the name of the Archangel Michael, if He can fight the devil and send him away from heaven, then he can fight our battle for us against the devil.


PRAYER TO ST MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL

Holy Michael archangel, defend us in the day of battle, be our protection against the wickedness and the snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell satan and all the evil spirits who moved round the world seeking for souls to destroy. Amen


***Gabriel, the messenger of the good news of our salvation. He is the one God sent to Mary that she will conceive and deliver the baby Jesus. Cf. Luke 1: 26


This is more reason a prayer was composed in the name of Archangel Gabriel the carrier of good news, so he will bring good news to us and our family. 


PRAYER TO ST GABRIEL THE ARCHANGEL

St. Gabriel the Archangel, we beg you, to intercede for us at the throne of divine mercy in our present necessities, that as you did announce to Mary the mystery of the Incarnation, so through your prayers and patronage in heaven we may obtain the benefits of the same, and sing the praise of God forever in the land of the living.


***Raphael, the healer in the book of Tobit describes how Raphael directed Tobias to use an ointment made from a fish to heal his father Tobit's blindness and how Raphael guided Tobias to scare away the demon that had been tormenting Sarah. Hence, he made it possible for Tobias and Sarah to marry. Cf. Tobit 12:  15-22.


This is more reason a prayer was composed in the name of Archangel Raphael, the Angel of healer and of those seeking for partner.


PRAYER TO ST RAPHAEL THE ARCHANGEL

Archangel Raphael, please lead us toward those we are waiting for, those who are waiting for us: Raphael, Angel of happy meeting, leads us by the hand toward those we are looking for. May all our movements be guided by your Light and transfigured with your joy, and may you grant healing for all who are sick. 


In conclusion, we pray and beg for the intercession of Archangels Michael, Raphael and Gabriel not to forget to fight our battle for us, to bring good news to us, to hold us by the hand to meet those God destined us to meet in life, and to grant us healing of body and soul.
