TOPIC FOR REFLECTION

 *THE LORD DWELLS AMONG US.*

The Lord is our refuge and strength. He is closer to us than we could imagine. He dwells among us. He is our guide and protector.

From the first reading, the Lord said: Jerusalem shall be inhabited as villages without walls, because of the multitude of men and cattle in it. For I will be to her a wall of fire round about, says the Lord, and I will be the glory within her.’ “Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion (O citizens of heaven on earth); for behold, I come and I will dwell in the midst of you, says the Lord.

Similarly, in the Gospel, Jesus the Son of God who is God in human form came to dwell among us, and despite all His good deeds, they plan to kill him.

So, being God who has come to live with His people foresaw the plot of planning to kill Him, hence He hinted His disciples saying; “Let these words sink into your ears; for the Son of man is to be delivered into the hands of men.”  But they did not understand this saying, and it was concealed from them, that they should not perceive it; and they were afraid to ask him about this saying.

Jesus being God in human form tried to prepare the minds of His disciples, though I live among you, some are not happy that I dwell among you, hene they are planning to execute me.

However, as fate would have it, today we celebrate the memorial of St. Jerome, the biblical scholar who after the death of Jesus in His human form, still made His presence of Jesus felt all over the world through the interpretation of the bible into the Latin language with his divine guided spiritual commentaries which are still relevant today.

Therefore, my dear, I strongly believe you will

recognize the presence of Jesus in your life.

 *Peace ✌️ be with you.*
