TOPIC FOR REFLECTION

*HOW TO BUILD FAITH LIKE A CHILD*

Please, wait a minute...

#Why do we accept to be what we can not become?

#Why do we call or reduce ourselves to a particular state of life, yet if called that name, we pick offence?

#Why do we act immature if we claimed to be mature

#Why do we not act and behave like a child before God, if we claim to be His child?

The fact is, it is easier to attribute a name to which we can not accept to live the life.

Are we not children of God?

If we accept that we are children of God, our attitudes before Him should be like a child.

Now, listen

Place yourself in the position of your child at home.

If you are not married yet, act as if you already have one.

Now,

1. If you want your child to love you, do you love God as His child?

2. If you want your child to obey you do you obey God as His child?

3. If you want your child to depend on you, do you depend on God as His child?

4. If you want your child to trust you absolutely, do you trust God absolutely as His child?

5. The way you feel if your child loose trust and confidence in you, is the same way God feels when you no longer trust Him as His child?

6. The way you feel if your child abandoned you for another person, and no longer care if you exist, but runs after another person, is the same way God feels when you abandoned Him as His child for a mere man He created to seek for solution to your problem.

7. The way you will not abandon your child even if he is angry at you, it's the same way God will feel for you in case you are angry @ Him.

8. If your child knows that you can not disappoint him, then kindly know that you as His child will not be disappointed by God.

9. Remember that those who trust in God are like mount zion that cannot be shaken, just as your child who trusts and obeys you becomes the pride and pillar of your life.

10. In other to build your faith in God, follow the suggested points above, and reflect on them.

In simple language, see yourself as a child before God, just as you see your child, and God will become very much happy with you.

11. Can you become humble and submissive before God, just as your child is submissive and humble before you?

12. Now, which of your child do you like most, the one who is proud and arrogant, or the one who is humble and submissive? It is the same way God often loves and prefers humble and submissive people to proud individuals.

So, following the above analysis, we can now understand why Jesus said in today's Gospel: “Let the children come to me and do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”

In Matthew 18: 3. Jesus said, unless you become like little children, you can not enter the kingdom of God.

So, over to you. Will you become like a child to enter the kingdom of heaven or remain in your obstinate nature to perish?
