TOPIC FOR REFLECTION

 *HAS YOUR FAITH GERMINATED?*

All planted seeds must first die, germinate and later starts to grow, has the word of God grown and germinated in you?

Faith comes by hearing. (Rom. 10: 17)

So, the word of God we listen to every time, if those words make no sense or meaning to us, we can not believe in it.

Still from the letter of St. Paul to the Romans. 10: 14-15, it says...

14 But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?

15 And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news.

Therefore, my dear, since you were of the age of reasoning, you have been hearing about the word of God, permit me to ask...

1. Does the word of God still make sense to you like when first receive Christ and heard His word?

2. Your first faith in God after hearing His word, is it still the same in you today?

3. Is the word of God rooted deep in you?

4. Can you stand on that faith without an iota of doubt to move the mountain?

My dear, you can not love Him whom you never heard about, and neither can you believe in the person you never heard about; hence, the word of God will not be rooted deep in you.

In today's Gospel, the disciples of Jesus could not heal an epileptic boy, and the father of the boy came to Jesus begging Him to heal his boy.

Jesus exclaimed: O faithless and perverse generation, how long am I to be with you? How long am I to bear with you?

So, later, the disciples met Jesus to ask Him why they could not cast out the demon in the boy? and He said, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there, ’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.”

Therefore, it does not matter the years spent listening to God's word, but how effective are those words in you. The effect of those words of God is to build our TRUST and CONFIDENCE in God, which means FAITH.

So, if one has trust and confidence in God, o matter the age, the faith will move a mountain.

I leave you with the question, can your faith in  God move the mountain of your life?

 *Peace ✌️ be with you.*
