TOPIC FOR REFLECTION

GOD CALLS YOU TO LIBERATE YOUR FAMILY JUST AS HE CALLED MOSES TO LIBERATE THE ISRAELITES.

My dear, do you know that God can call you to liberate your family, friends or our nation?

Many times, those whom God calls are the least expected, those whom society might have rejected. People called in this category are those whom the scripture refers to as follows:

Matthew 21: 42, Psalm 118: 22, 1 Peter 2: 7

***Have you never read in the Scriptures: "The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone..."

Hebrews 5: 4

***And no one takes this honour on himself, but he receives it when called by God, just as Aaron was.

Moses would have been the least expected to have been called by God, because of his past antecedent.  He killed an Egyptian, even his fellow Hebrew men tagged him a murderer, and he ran away from Egypt because Pharao declared him wanted, and he took refuge in Midian, where he settled and married.

You can see, he is more like a rejected stone, yet God called him despite his past and send him back to Egypt to liberate the Israelites.

My dear, make yourself available and never look down on yourself because God may decide to call you to liberate your family, friends, or nation from one bad situation to another.

God does not look at our past sins, because He is very much interested in the good plan he designed for us to accomplish.

Therefore, always remember that no one takes the honour upon himself, but receives it if called by God. So, do not say, I am not worthy, do not reject the call of God to serve by saving people's lives.

Similarly,  always remember that God who called us to follow His Son, Jesus Christ, does that to collaborate with Him in His redemptive work of salvation.

More reason Jesus prayed in today's Gospel saying: “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to infants; yes, Father, for such was your gracious will. All things have been delivered to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”

Invariably, our call to be Christians was a result of Christ revealing the mysteries of the kingdom of God to us, and He also made us know the Father.

In summary, as we all are called by God to be Christians, we should prepare, because an individual (any of us) could be called by Him for a specific special heroic assignment one day, just as Moses was called today to liberate his people.

Are you prepared if God should call you like he called Moses for a special assignment?

Peace ✌️ be with you.
