TOPIC FOR REFLECTION

YOU ARE VERY LUCKY.

Please, if you attend primary school between the 70s to 90s kindly use the tune of " Some have food, but can not eat..." to sing the song below.

1. Some have eyes, but can not see

Some can see but have no eyes

We have eyes and we can see

Glory be to you Oh Lord.

2. Some have ears, but can not hear

Some can hear but have no ear

We have ears and we can hear

Glory be to you Oh Lord.    Amen

Do you know that Amen is worked for and not earned, just as grace is built on nature? Good life, good work and communication with God in prayer are equal to AMEN.

Well, I am 100% convinced that you must have said "Amen" in your mind as soon as you saw today's topic: "You are very lucky" 😆 😂😂😂😂. Do you think Amen is picked on the floor? My dear, worked for your Amen and the Amen will become yours.

Amen simply means, "So be it", "so shall it be"

So, who will want his or her evil act to be so for him or her? Even, the most wicked on earth want good things for him or herself.

This is simply to show that Amen is worked for.

All the above is to drive home into our hearts and minds what Jesus said in today's Gospel.

The apostles asked Jesus why he often speaks to the people in parables, and He said that it is because...

Some have eyes to look at, yet they could not see

Some have ears to listen to, yet they could not hear and understand.

Jesus quoted the prophecy of Isaiah justifying the reason He speaks to them in a parable; He says:  With them indeed is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah which says: ‘You shall indeed hear but never understand, and you shall indeed see but never perceive. For this people’s heart has grown dull, and their ears are heavy of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should perceive with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and turn for me to heal them.

Therefore, anybody whose heart is grown in evil has eyes but can not see, has ears but can not hear.

However, to all of us who follow the Apostles' teachings through the church, He said:

To you, it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them, it has not been given. For to anyone who has will more be given, and will have abundance; but from those who has not, even what they have will be taken away (the evil men and women).

Finally, Jesus concluded saying, blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear. Truly, I say to you, many prophets and righteous men longed to see what you see and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it. Aren't we lucky?

The same luck was on the side of the Israelites in today's first reading when God appeared to them on the mountain of Sinai.

Please, let us make good use of our luck.

May our Luck of seeing and hearing the Gospel of the kingdom not lock us out, but gain for us the kingdom of heaven.

Peace ✌️ be with you
