TOPIC FOR REFLECTION

ALLOW YOUR FAITH TO GERMINATE AND GROW

Faith is like a mustard seed, once planted, it grows with time.  Faith takes time to grow, and once it grows with its root rooted deep in a person, such a person will now become strong like olumo rock, the iroko tree.

Any person whose faith is strong and rooted deep in him or her is likened to the parable of the mustard seed.

Jesus said...

“The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed which a man took and sowed in his field; it is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is the greatest of shrubs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.”

So, faith as small as it may appear,  once rooted, it gives courage to many people.

However, the faith of the Israelites towards God was cold, not strong. This is more reason they made for themselves a golden carved image for worship while Moses was away on the mountain to see God.

Therefore, I plead with us that our faith in God should be like that of the mustard seed, and not like the Israelites whose faith in God was not strong.

Peace ✌️ be with you.
