TOPIC FOR REFLECTION

NOBODY CAN LOVE YOU AS GOD LOVES YOU

Jesus said:  “Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask anything of the Father, He will give it to you in my name.

***We are lucky because Jesus assured us that our Father in Heaven will not refuse whatever we ask in His name.

Please, I plead with us not to lose faith and focus. The voice of prayer is never silent. All we need is to be patient and let our faith in Him be solidly firm and strong.

Jesus said: Until now you have asked nothing in my name; ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

***With the statement of Jesus above saying we have not asked anything in His name. Hmm, does it mean Jesus is telling us that all our prayers did not get to the throne of God or what?

Surprisingly, such statements could come from Jesus.

However, we should remember that this Gospel was written many centuries ago, and it was written to the Christian community of his time; still, to the glory of God, it is relevant to us today.

Remember in Rom. 8: 26, the scripture says we do not know how to pray, but the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness to pray to the Father.

So, for us to have a good connection with God, we need the Holy Spirit to help us to relate well with the Father.

More so, many of our prayers are in these formulas :

1. They are full of content but lack context.

2. They are full of words, but without meaning.

3. Many of our prayers do not come from the mind, but the lips.

4. Most of our prayers are based on emotion and not on conviction.

5.  Many of us pray without concentration

6. We pray without faith.

7. We are prayerful but lack the spirit of patience.

8. Of a truth, If you claim to love me, but do not trust me, do not have patience, and how do you expect me to say that you love me? Etc.

In a nutshell, I guess one of the reasons Jesus spoke like this, is because we do not exercise faith in our prayer to God.

Hence, if we do not exercise faith in our prayer life, our claims to have believed in Jesus become questionable.

Jesus said:  Father himself loves you because you have loved me and have believed that I came from the Father. I came from the Father and have come into the world; again, I am leaving the world and going to the Father.”

***The love of God over us can not be compared. He has promised, and He will never fail in His love for us.

Nobody can love you and I like God. It is His love that brought our salvation. More reason it pained Him (Jesus)when we ask without Faith.

Please, let our faith in God be strong.

Our faith in God gives boundless joy to Jesus.

Then, trust me, soonest, you will shout for joy because your prayers shall be answered before the Lord.

The Lord shall wipe your tears away.

Peace ✌️ be with you.
