TOPIC FOR REFLECTION

RESPECT THE LAW

If you keep the law, the law will keep you. So, in life, if there is no law, we would have been in a chaotic state.

The reason is simple, the law is to restrict our excesses. Naturally, every person would like to act as he or she wants, but thanks to the law which restricts one.

Let us remember that the spirit of the law should be followed and not its dogmatic nature to the latter.

The only laws that should not be tolerated are as follows:

1. Laws that cause conflict

2. That has no human face

3. That does not promote the peace and stability of a society.

4. Laws that have no exceptions

5. Laws that are self-centered by nature

6. Laws that are not inclusive because nobody is above the law. etc.

The list above only presents to us many of the human laws that are faulty, while the only perfect law is God's law. God's law has great benefits imbibed in it.

Although, some people vowed never to be obedient to any law, and if they must obey, they adjust it to suit themselves.

I will give you an example...

If coming late for lectures is a punishable offense, but once those who feel they are lawmakers are affected, they will manipulate the law, and wave the punishment.

On the contrary, if others who are not in the same clique with them, as they violate the law, you will see how they will use all their muscles to make sure the defaulters are prosecuted.

Hmmm,

Man makes law to inflict pain on others, and man adjusts the same law to suit his criminal acts.

The good news is that the Divine law can not be manipulated.

However, I will advise that we should try to respect and keep the law as much as we can, in as much it does not affect the threat of life.

Let us learn the humility of heart if we want to keep the law, while those who are full of themselves are those who naturally violate the law.

The humble keep the law, while the proud do not.

In today's Gospel, Jesus said that He has not come to abolish the law, but to renew it. He, quickly added that no iota of his word would go unfulfilled.

Similarly, Moses advises us to be faithful to the law, stressing by saying, "what great nation is there, that has statutes and ordinances so righteous as all this law which I set before you this day? “Only take heed, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things which your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life; make them known to your children and your children’s children.”

My dear, in keeping the law, let us transmit it to others, our children, etc.

May God help us to keep the laws and commandments of God, and more importantly, may these laws not be used against us at the end of our lives.

Peace ✌️ be with you.
