TOPIC FOR REFLECTION

THE CHALLENGES OF LIVING A GOOD LIFE

A good life attracts criticism and by extension enmity from those who are not living the same good life as you.

Imagine Jesus our master, despite all His goodness, the majority still hate Him with passion and condemned Him to death.

My dear, let us learn to do good and not evil, and never become part of those who commit evil, who destroy good people because their ways challenge yours.

Today's both readings condemn those who are always waiting to kill Godly men.

If any person is living a life that challenges our evil ways of life, instead of condemning the person, try to learn from such person and amend.

God is interested in the death of the righteous and not the sinners.

Why were the Jews trying to kill Jesus?

Is not because Jesus was a bad person, it is because He was not living the corrupt life they were living, so His ways of life were a challenge to them. More so, Jesus claims to have come from heaven.
However, if Jesus had lived the corrupt life they were living, they would not talk of condemning Him.

This is what is happening in our world today, people promoting evil men like them and condemning Godly men.
Hmm, what an irony of the highest order!!!

Yet, we pray for a better world, how can it becomes better when we act contrary to our prayer points?

My dear, do not be the modern-day Jews, Pharisees, Sadducees, etc. to those who are trying to be like Christ, please keep it, and do not be discouraged.

This Lent will be coming to an end and we shall be celebrating Easter.

Please 🙏, I plead with us, let this be the beginning of our conversion if we are yet to, for us to be ready to resurrect with Christ on Easter Sunday.

Therefore, let there be the conversion from our evil ways of life into good ways of life.

Let us not allow the syndrome of today's corruption, deception, and wickedness, to lead us away from God.

Rather, let us become fools for Christ's sake. Cf. 1 Cor. 4: 10

Keep up doing good, your good deeds will win you God's blessings here on earth, and eternal salvation thereafter.

Imitate good deeds and not evil deeds.

Peace ✌️ be with you.

Rev. Fr. Segun Oladeji, CRS.
