TOPIC FOR REFLECTION

THE GENESIS OF GREED

(As you read this reflection, fix the politician whose life depicts the reflection.)

Greed begins with a person who is PLEASURE, POWER, AND POSSESSION conscious.

Are you aware that a greedy person is a proud person?
Do you know that a greedy person complains a lot?
Do you also know that no greedy person values simplicity?
A greedy person boasts about his emptiness
A greedy person tends towards being a thief because what he has not, and has no means of getting, would devise a means with his cunny nature to get what he wants.

My dear, I pray this day that anyone who is greedy by nature should repent of it through Christ our Lord. I pray for such persons because, it destroys not just the soul and personality of the greedy person, but destroys the society where the greedy person lives and dwells in.

Here are some attributes of a greedy person

1. A greedy person has a laziness tendency.

2. He lives in the world of procrastination.

3. He prefers pleasure to perseverance.

4. He is never satisfied nor become contented with what he has.

5. Prefers flan-buoyancy to moderate life.

6. He lives in constant anger once he can't grab what he wants.

7. A greedy person loves to lure others.

8. Some of those who are greedy by nature and at the same time power conscious can do anything to achieve their evil desires.

9. A greedy person does not love his neighbor,

10. A greedy person can oppress, suppress, fight, kill, and destroy anybody who seems to be an obstacle to his selfish ambition.

11. A greedy person can not do charity, if he gives, he expects service in return. Most often, he gives from left over.

12. The presence of a greedy person in society is a big setback to that society.

13. A greedy person is a selfish fellow who loves to reap what he did not sow.

Finally, when you see or meet a greedy person who is promoting or supporting anybody in society, just know that there is a gain to his pocket, but if he has nothing to gain from it, he goes about castigating the person who refuses to grant him his selfish interest.

So, having understood the explanations above will help us to understand the background for which Cain was acting.

Cain was so greedy that he gave God the worst leftover of his farm produce, while Abel gave the best.

God accepted Abel's offerings and rejected Cain's.

Cain became angry and killed his brother.

We can see what greed can lead one into.

From one SIN to another.

From one crime to another

From one evil to another.

May God help us to overcome our greedy nature through Christ our Lord.

Peace ✌️ be with you.
