TOPIC FOR REFLECTION

JESUS IS ALL IN ALL

Jesus Christ is the mediator of a new covenant. He died to redeem us from our sins, and those who follow Him faithfully will inherit the kingdom of God.

Jesus offered Himself as a sacrificial lamb once and for all, and does not need to repeat it. Hence, the sacrifice became a gateway heaven.

Remember, Christ is the firstborn from the dead. Cf. Colossians 1: 8 and the first to enter Heaven, John 3: 13

So, Christ entered heaven and appeared before God on our behalf, and that gave us access to enter Heaven.

Therefore, His second coming is to save those who are eagerly waiting for Him.

The Gospel acclamation taken from 2 Timothy 1: 10 says: Our Saviour Christ Jesus abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel.

However,  though Jesus came to save humanity, He met with so many obstacles from especially the scribes and Pharisees.

Obstacles such as saying...

***Jesus is possessed by Beelzebul,

and by the prince of demons he casts out the demons.

--Well, they tried to discourage people from believing His teachings of salvation, but the more they do that, the more His followers increase. So,  nobody can stop God's work. In life, before you can succeed, you must meet a lot of obstacles. Use your obstacles as a stepping stone in life.

Jesus replied to them thus:

***“How can Satan cast out Satan? If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. And if Satan has risen against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but is coming to an end.

---Funny enough they thought Jesus was of this world because in our society today, I'm the world is tearing apart because we use evil to cast out evil. We remove one evil to replace it with another evil, hence our society can not stand it. Imagine thief catching thief, can such a society stand? The Kingdom of heaven is different from the kingdom of this world.

***“Jesus said: Truly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they utter; but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin” — for they had said, “He has an unclean spirit.”

---From this last statement of Jesus in today's Gospel, it is good to be free from cause if you do not believe Jesus, than for you to a vise the divine of being possessed by the evil spirit. It is blasphemy. There are some of us today who blaspheme in that category, let us be careful. We should not use God's name for caricature, and lose His sight after death.

Similarly, the sin of losing Hope is a sin against the Holy Spirit,  it also does have forgiveness.

May God help us to value Jesus and His teaching, and never insult His Holy name.

Peace ✌️ be with you
